Mother's Day

So, I love my mom ALOT. I'd be lost without her.

We have a wonderful relationship and get along well.

Yesterday, my youngest nephew received a box of Andes mints for helping at church. Yum YUM! On the way over to Grandma's for lunch, I told him how my mom and her brother don't like mint and chocolate together. They think it tastes like poison.

We had lunch and my two nephews, Brother, Hubby, and my dad were sitting in the living room talking. My youngest nephew got out his mints. I said "Did you offer one to Grandma?" He got up and when to the kitchen to offer her one. My dad and I were talking and suddenly my head was in a head-lock and I was getting my scalped rubbed.

I looked up and my mom was grinning at me telling me how bad I was. Everyone was just staring. This is not like my mom. She is laid back and not aggressive in that kind of way. I just started laughing and so did she. I tried to get her to eat my piece of Andes mints. We laughed and laughed.

Thankfully, Hubby is feeling better. Not great, but better...Thank you LORD!

We have a wedding this weekend.

And I am hoping that I can't get some work in the garden and yard.

My hurt Hubby!

So, Hubby got hurt at work last week...

And the nurse there told him for 3 days he was fine until finally she realized that getting hit in the head and cause problems.

So, he is starting to get better now that he isn't work a regular work day...He's on restrictions.

THANK YOU LORD for having her wake up. Now, if only the imbeciles that saw him get hurt would just stop picking on him.

Weekend!

Thank God the weekend is here...and *fingers crossed* the stress level goes down!

Dancing.....

We had dance class last night. We practised the waltz. I think we did pretty good.

The Wedding is over...THANK GOD!!

Well, the wedding went off...not without a hick or two...

Friday morning, the woman who was to take care of the majority of the wedding ended up in the hospital. And then of course, the brides parents weren't in favor of the marriage and they didn't come. So, her grandparents wouldn't walk her down the aisle.

So, Hubby, a friend (maid of honor), and I took over the set up pretty much and made sure things were going somewhat smoothly. Ha ha!

Ok...so day of...not too bad until we got LOCKED out of the house were the bride was getting dressed...ha ha...not funny!

Then all these people who were coming to the wedding HAD to come in to see her before the wedding...stupid PEOPLE!!!! You are suppose to LEAVE THE BRIDE ALONE until after the wedding!

Then, just before she was ready to walk out of the house...the grandparents decided they didn't want her to walk down the aisle alone...that would just be embarrassing...WHATEVER! Why don't you just make her MISCIBLE before the wedding!

Ok...so, this is ok...now...enters the sister of the groom! Hello, if you are a bride's maid you do not show up seconds before she is going down the aisle...oh yeah, she wasn't suppose to be a bride's maid! So, they cut the two roses that the maid of honor was "carrying" in two...and they each carried one.

Ok...so, drama over...I hope!

Busy Weekend

So, today is FRIDAY!!! yeah

But...

A friend is getting married tomorrow...and I get to help...I like helping with weddings.

So, I am helping set up and then tomorrow I am going to help her stay calm. And then AFTER the wedding Hubby and I have tickets to our youth groups dinner theater.

It's a FULL day...but I am excited about it!!

Sleep...and stress...

So, I have been SUPER tired lately. Not sure why...could be the gloomy weather we've had since Sunday or maybe I am just tired.

Anyway, it doesn't help that being tired is starting to stress me out. I so ripped of Hubby's head last night for NOTHING! Of course, I was venting one of my friend getting upset at me because I tried to make her feel like her life isn't all bad.

Anyway...

I am hoping that after this weekend things will be better!

Letter!

Hubby and I received a letter yesterday from a friend. That was good to hear from him. It's nice to know that you're letters aren't in vain.

Easter

I hope everyone had a nice Easter.

Ours was good. My nephews came over Friday night and colored eggs with me...I was surprised they still wanted to do it since they are 16 and 13.

Saturday, I had lunch with some friends. We were all in Girl Scouts together. It was nice to get together with them. The one girl I haven't seen since High School.

Sunday, my Hubby played for the Sunrise Services, and sang for the three normal services. After that we went to my grandma's to have lunch. It was a nice...not too busy weekend.

Sand Art

Last night, my hubby and the worship team from church played at the Walking on Common Ground Sand Art. It went great. My friend Sarah picked the songs and they were ones I like a lot.

I don't understand my my font gets larger and I can't change it?!?!?!?!

Not much going on here....or is there?

It's amazing how busy you can be and yet nothing really is going on...

I am still working on my blanket...and normal everyday stuff...and so busy, but nothing going on...........

But...then again, I am getting together with friends Saturday (I prompted everyone to commit) and trying to get addresses for a High School reunion...and now my mom has me signing for my Uncle for a church thing....I guess I am busy just not interesting things.

And then there is my job...I don't usually have much to do...so that makes the week draaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!

But my husband is awesome. He is very supportive and comforting...except when he squished my head yesterday and said he'd popped a zit. He says he didn't mean my head but I don't know that's awfully mean!

Geocaching!

I took a friend Geocaching last night. We had fun. Found one I hadn't found before and my aunty hasn't found it.

BUT...a Tomtom doesn't work very well for geocaching. Too bad! Maybe I can find a program to make it work better!

Crazy Daisy Blanket

So, my blanket is coming along nicely. I have 30 of the 36 blocks made. Now I just have to finish puting it together.

BUT...I ran out of green yarn!!!! I am hoping that I don't run out of blue.

When I get done with the blanket I am going try my hand at a baby outfit. I have always wanted to make a baby outfit. So, I am going to try.

Been a while

Not that any of my followers care, but SORRY, it's been a while.

I was sick for quite a while....and then just busy!

So, the past week I have been trying to make a baby blanket. I am croqueting it.

I was looking through my grandma's sewing box. Inside was a small cardboard box that has my great grandma's tatting stuff. Also in there was a "Crazy Daisy Winder". I didn't know what it was for. So, I just did some research and found out that it was make probably in the 40's or 50's. It was made to make it easier to croquet. I found some patterns and now I am making a blanket. I will take some pictures and post them. It is kinda fun! Especially the part about using my great grandma's stuff.

My next task is to learn to tat!

Stupid Cold!

I know I haven't been on here for a while. I know no one will probably read this, but oh well!

I have been fighting this stupid cold for a month now. I came down with it the day after my birthday (Feb 2) so, as of today it's been a month!

I am so tired of it not going away. Every time I start feeling better...a couple days later....BAM! I feel sick again.

AHHHH!!!

Friends Wedding

So, a friend of mine got married Saturday. I am glad it's over! It was a nice wedding though. Amazing how many people were there considering how short the engagement was.

But I was able to help and that is what is important! So glad I could be there for my friend. My other friend, said that I do a good job with that. I had stuff the people needed that was forgotten. And have focused on the bride. Hey, I guess that is just me!

I really am not sure why I know what you need to have in case of emergencies for the but I do. The other friend thinks I should start doing that as a business, but that is a little weird. But I would totally do it for any of my friends!

A wedding is something special...it is their special day and NOTHING should mess that up!

TGIF

TGIF....

I am so glad this week is over. It hasn't been a bad week. I just like the weekends!

No work...no, sitting on my duff for 8 hours!!! No listening to whiny people who think they are so much better than everyone else in the world! No more talk about how someones pregnancy is so strange and different than everyone elses. I get a 2 day vacation from all that! Don't take me wrong most of them I like working with but BOY! Does that get old!

So, I am very ready for my 2 day vacation. It's time for it.

Memory

Yesterday afternoon, my youngest nephew called and wanted a ride to youth group and my sister needed me to pick her up about an hour after that. (They only have one car right now.)

I was no more than off and I forgot. So, a little before 8 my sister called to ask were I was and I felt so bad. My nephew didn't get to go to church and my sister had to wait for me to show up.

Why is it that we are so quick to help, but we forget to follow through? I try not to do that because it is the same as lying, but I just forget. I wish there was a way for me to be better at this stuff.

First one

Ok, so here it goes...my first blog.

I guess, I don't really know what to say but I've been thinking about it for a while...so here it goes!

I work a desk job. Not exciting, but it is a living.

My life really isn't exciting...but I enjoy it and love my friends and family.

My 34th birthday was Monday, but I sure don't know how I got to that age. Time sure goes fast, yet there are so many things I want to do. How do you fit them into your life and yet not be broke all the time?

There are so many questions...but not much time.
